Manual Layout Welder Team Leader

Parsons Company has an opportunity for you in our Welding Department as a Manual Layout Welder Team Leader! In this role you will not only need to have solid experience as a Welder but also have a strong understanding of various welding processes to ensure the production of high-quality metal components that meet our specifications and standard. This position will report to the Welding Supervisor.
Duties
- Weld metal parts according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine job requirements.
- Perform quality inspections on finished products using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
- Utilize hand tools and fabrication techniques for assembly tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Train and Lead employees assigned.
- Oversee workflow within area.
- Subject expert within the welding department.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with a background in manufacturing processes.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to manufacturing tasks.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately for effective execution of projects.
- Competence in using hand tools, tooling, and assembly techniques.
- AWS certification required.
- 5 years of verifiable experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with cranes for material handling is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail for quality inspection of finished products.

Pay & Benefits
This position pays an hourly wage of $26 – 29. You are eligible for all holidays beginning on your first day of employment. Following a 90-day probationary period, you will be eligible for benefits which can be found on the employment page.
