CDL Driver Class A

Do you have an interest in locally driving large commercial vehicles? Parsons Company has an opportunity for you in our Shipping Department as a Backup Driver Class A! As a Backup Driver Class A you will be responsible for maintaining and holding a class A CDL license allowing for the operation of large commercial vehicles for local deliveries and pickups. This position would be performed as a backup to the main driver. This position will report to the Shipping Supervisor.

Essential Functions

Must hold a valid and current Class A CDL License.
Must be able to understand and interpret job instructions, blueprints, manuals and specifications.
Must be able to effectively communicate, collaborate and cooperate with supervisors, co-workers, vendors and customers.
Must be able to calculate, set and adjust machine controls.
Must be able to perform work and maintain/operate machinery safely and efficiently with limited supervision.
Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
Must be able to report to work on-time and work overtime, including weekends when necessary.
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines without sacrificing safety, quality or productivity.
Must be able to perform the essential functions of related jobs for cross-training and capacity management.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to go up and down stairs.
Must be able to bend/stoop, squat/crouch, climb, kneel and twist.
Must be able to lift/carry/pull/push up to 50 pounds unassisted.
Must be able to operate pneumatic and/or motorized hand-held tools such as sanders, grinders, drills, impact wrenches, air chisels, or similar hand-held equipment.
Must be able to maintain full awareness of surrounding manufacturing activities and recognize and respond appropriately to safety hazards and alarms.

Pay & Benefits

This position pays an hourly wage of $24. You are eligible for all holidays beginning on your first day of employment. Following a 90-day probationary period, you will be eligible for benefits which can be found on the employment page.

authorized officer. If any of these terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, I agree that the remaining terms will remain
in full force and effect, and that the presiding court is authorized to reduce any restriction and/or impose any conditions
deemed necessary to give protection to the interests which are the subject of the invalid or unenforceable term.
